SEND

SEND information about our school.

Welcome to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) section of our website.

At St Benet’s Catholic Primary School, we pride ourselves in ensuring that all children have full and inclusive access to the best opportunities and educational provision possible.

Within our SEND policy and SEND Information Report, you will find everything you need to know about SEND in our school, including what we do for children with SEND and who will support you and your family throughout your child’s time with us.

The SEND Governor for the school is Mrs Angela Garrity, she can be contacted via the school office on 0191 4105857 or stbenets@stbo.bwcet.com

The Government has asked all Local Authorities in the UK to publish, in one place, information about the services and provision they expect to be available in their area for children and young people from 0 to 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND). This is known as the Local Offer. Further information about the Durham Local Offer can be found on the Durham Council Local Offer website: Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and our Local Offer – Durham County Council

Our SEND Co-Ordinator is Miss S. Loughlin, she can be contacted via the school office on 0191 4105857 or stbenets@stbo.bwcet.com. For more information on our SEND procedures, please visit our policies section or contact the school office on 0191 4105857.
